Your personal checks and balances

Government keeps working. Your Civic Agent keeps watching.

CivicLedger.ai gives you a private civic agent that follows the public institutions, issues and rules you choose—so you do not have to spend your life reading agendas, council minutes and government notices.

We are building this architecture. Register your interest today; this website does not yet activate a Civic Agent or connect your identity.

You cannot watch government all day. Your Civic Agent can.

Set the rules once. Change them whenever you want. Your agent is designed to notice material changes, explain the evidence and bring the decisions that matter back to you.

When you choose to join paid civic research, authorize only the data that mission requires. Eligible participation shares in the value through a Civic Dividend.

Orchard-edge land rezoning

Example proposal: rezone a former commercial parcel beside an orchard for mixed-use homes and shops.

Possible conflict · Your land-use rule requests evidence of an agricultural buffer.

Source confidence: High · Illustrative primary-source record.

Made-up scenario, not a real council notice. Controls are illustrative and do not submit a response.

The attention gap

City Hall has full-time attention. You don't.

Public institutions have staff, calendars, databases, committees and permanent memory. You have a career, a family, a business and a life to live.

Agendas arrive. Bylaws change. Budgets move forward. Keeping up should not require becoming a full-time researcher.

Civic Ledger is being built to close that gap: a private intelligence layer that keeps watch over the public authority affecting your life, using the priorities and rules you supply.

Five connected products

Public power, made legible. Personal attention, made persistent.

Conceptual public institutions connected to a source-linked archive of records.

Your identity. Your keys. Your permission. Your share of the value.

Civic Graph

Maps public authority: which institution can act, where its authority applies and which sources support the record.

Civic Agent

Keeps watch for the individual. It compares public activity with your private rules and works within the authority you give it.

Mirror State

Preserves a structured reflection of government, alongside a clearly separated environment for experimenting with better civic infrastructure.

Civic Pulse

Turns mission-specific, participant-authorized data into a defined aggregate research product.

Civic Dividend

Returns a disclosed part of paid mission value to eligible participants.

Civic Agent

Set your civic rules. Let the agent watch.

It watches government while you live your life.

Choose the jurisdictions, neighbourhoods and issues that matter. Set your evidence requirements, thresholds, trade-offs and standing instructions. Your private values and preferences guide your agent; they do not become sponsor inventory.

The agent explains potential alignment, conflict and uncertainty. It can prepare a response for your decision or execute a narrowly defined instruction you already authorized. Broad values alone never authorize a political position.

The Civic Agent loop

Government acts → Civic Graph detects → Civic Agent compares → Relevance, alignment, conflict or uncertainty → Alert or authorized action → Participant remains informed.

Government acts. Your agent notices. You decide—or it executes only the standing authority you already gave it.

Key principle

It watches government while you live your life.

Your identity. Your keys.

Civic Ledger uses your identity. It does not become your identity provider.

Your profile does not begin in our database. It begins with you.

Bring your civic identity. Grant only the access required for the interaction you choose.

The architecture keeps your VerusID, Self-Sovereign Civic Profile and relevant encryption authority under your control. The Checks and Balances Human Verification Protocol supplies community-attested proof appropriate to the interaction. Civic Ledger verifies that attestation; it does not own your credential.

You can choose to bring compatible profile information to Rate My Representatives or another compatible application. A shared identity does not grant shared access. Explore identity, keys and permissions.

Civic Pulse

Your information can create value without becoming somebody else's political dossier.

A sponsor buys a defined aggregate research product. You choose whether your data contributes.

Each mission discloses its sponsor, purpose, requested information, access, analysis, reward and publication terms. You authorize the fields and mission-specific access required for that work.

The mission flow

Review the mission → Authorize selected data → Process under the agreed terms → Create the aggregate Civic Pulse → Share mission value with eligible participants.

Where readable data is required, the mission may request scoped decryption capability. It does not require the master private key controlling your identity. Privacy thresholds and limitations belong in the methodology, before participation begins.

Civic Dividend

If people create the signal, people should share in its economic value.

Contribution does not transfer ownership of your identity.

You retain the underlying profile while authorizing the agreed analysis. A disclosed share of paid mission value compensates eligible participation and authorized inclusion in the aggregate product.

Supporting, opposing or qualifying a proposal does not earn a better reward. The mission's eligibility and compensation rules must be visible before you join.

Observed State + Prototype State

Mirror the state before trying to improve it.

Preserve what government actually did. Show experimental alternatives separately.

The Observed State connects jurisdictions, institutions, authority, decisions and attributable public records. The Prototype State models different processes beside that record: faster notices, clearer accountability, digital participation and better administration.

The Parallel Republic is the lived demonstration environment built on the Prototype State. It demonstrates alternatives without claiming that prototype rules are already law.

Founding Mirror City

Start with one municipality. Make the difference visible.

One municipality

100 verified participants

Three public decisions

30 days

The proposed pilot connects a municipal Civic Graph, an Observed Mirror State, private agents, disclosed research missions, participant value sharing and clearly labelled process experiments.

What government did

Observed State: an attributable record of actual public action.

What people authorized

Civic Pulse: aggregate research from mission-specific participant permissions.

What could improve

Prototype State: a separate demonstration of an alternative civic process.

The Parallel Republic

People need civic infrastructure as persistent as government infrastructure.

Government has memory. People need continuity. A private agent should help you stay informed without requiring you to spend your life watching institutions work.

Mirror first. Improve the reflection second. Demonstrate the difference. Governments can then evaluate an improvement and decide whether to adopt it through their own lawful processes.

Your personal checks and balances

Your government keeps working. Your Civic Agent keeps watching.

Help shape the founding network or propose a Civic Pulse. Registration starts a conversation about participation; it does not grant access to your identity, create a standing instruction or authorize a research mission.
