Technology

Portable identity. Structured civic data. Programmable public infrastructure.

The architecture connects participant-controlled identity with a shared model of public authority. Each component has a distinct responsibility; permission to use one is not unrestricted access to the others.

This is the implementation direction, not a claim that the current website has connected these systems. Production workflows must be connected and tested before being described as operational.

VerusID

The intended foundation for self-sovereign identity, authorization and key control. The participant controls the identity; Civic Ledger acts as an application interface to it.

VDXF

Shared typed civic data gives compatible applications a common way to describe information. Common types support interoperability; they do not themselves authorize an application to read private fields.

ContentMap / ContentMultiMap

The architecture uses these structures for portable application information associated with identity. The participant chooses which compatible data and capabilities to expose in each interaction.

Encryption

Participant-controlled access is the design requirement. A mission needing readable data may request scoped cryptographic access or decryption capability. It must not require the participant's master identity private key.

PBaaS

Public Blockchains as a Service can provide chain-specific infrastructure for civic records, applications and experimentation while interoperating with the wider Verus ecosystem.

The presence of a public chain does not mean private civic profiles belong on a public ledger. Each workflow must state what becomes public or persistent before a participant authorizes it.

Civic Graph

The semantic and institutional model connects jurisdictions, institutions, authority, offices, events and sources. It is the public evidence foundation for applications with different purposes.

Mirror State

The persistent government model records observed structure and activity over time. Provenance and correction history preserve what was known and when.

Prototype State

The experimental layer applies defined improvements to an observed baseline. It can demonstrate efficiency and alternative civic processes without turning a simulation into an official act.
